As I look at early voting and mailed absentee ballots in different states, a common theme is taking shape: Republicans are voting more than Democrats, especially when you compare the percentages to what we saw in 2016:
The trend is the same for Hamilton County, OH.
In 2016, Donald Trump won the state by 9 points, a yuge victory. Hamilton County, is one of the largest counties in the state and it is somewhat balanced with Rs and Ds (more Ds but not completely lopsided like Franklin county), in 2016, Hamilton went for Hillary Clinton, 52.6% to 43%:
In 2018, the early indicators show that Republicans should improve in this county over the last election:
In 2016, absentee ballots mailed in were 31%D and 29%R a 2 point advantage for Democrats, so far in 2018, Rs hold a 5 point (35% to 30%) advantage over Democrats, a 7 point swing in favor of Republicans from 2016. WOW.
