Things are not looking good for Democrats in the coming election. As shown in previous posts, Republicans are winning the Florida early voting fight. In Arizona the situation is even worse. In 2016 Trump won the state. One of the big hopes for Democrats prior to election day was that they closed the early voting gap from 10 points (43%R vs 32.5%D) in 2012 to 6 points (40%R vs 34%D).
In 2018 early voting, the opposite is true, there is no “blue wave” in Arizona:
Republicans represent 44% of the early vote, up 4 points from 2016 and Democrats, so far, are down to less than 33%, giving Republicans a 11 point advantage, 5 points better than 2016…when Trump won the state by 4 points!
